3. I learned that you can us physical visuals to help ELLs learners. I also learn there is a lot of good help and visuals on this blog post to effectively help you with your ELLs.

4. In today’s PD Iearned to be aware and not be fooled in thinking that the ESL student is actually understanding the lesson. I should check for understanding and use the different picture tools when needed. Also most importantly, ask for help when needed.

     I think it is important we make sure unified arts teachers have the language levels of their ELs as well.

5. It is more effective and best to grade students based on progress if they are on different levels.

     I am going to be putting some video links on for those teachers who have beginning level ELs. Portfolios are effective assessment tools for ELs.

6. I was pleased to know that ELL students need a lot of graphic organizers to learn. I also learned about the Akateko language and customs.
